Greetings

scene Welcome to Surreptitious... (Man, I can't even spell that right without copying and pasting or help from the spellchecker, but the fancy word fits the site so well...) Ehem, pardon the divergence, as I was saying, this is my little character shrine to Ureksa from Summon Night: Swordcraft Story.

As you might already be starting to conclude, this won't be a super serious experience, but it shall be informative! In other words, be warned that there are spoilers all around, employed in the process of analyzing the featured character and the elements that influence him... and the spoilers start right now!

First, I'll give you a quick run-down of the basics. A powerful fire type summon creature (a being from another dimension) named Parista is trapped asleep under the city of Wystern. The Craftknights (blacksmith fighters) of said city use Parista's fire to forge weapons. Rumari accidentally awakens the dormant Parista and gets cursed. Her friends fight to save her and protect Wystern from Parista. Shintetsu manages to trap Parista at the cost of his own life, but is unable to send Parista back to the spirit world from where it came. Rumari's brother, Ureksa, wants revenge on Parista. Parista uses his negative emotions to control him in a plot to make him think he's getting vengeance for Rumari, but is actually fueling Parista's revenge against Wystern. Got your attention yet?

PS: Surreptitious refers to something clandestine or secret, a misrepresentation of the truth... I think it fits given the fact that basically the whole main city remained ignorant of the truth for most of the game. There's also a lot of secrecy floating around the plot, you'll get what I mean after you've become familiar with the story. I suggest that you view the pages in the order they are listed.
